New Employee Orientation sessions are conducted once a month by SFU Human Resources and are kicked off with introductions to SFU's President or Vice President and the Executive Director of Human Resources. The four hour session continues with presentations regarding personal safety, SFU International, Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection, Human Rights, Environmental Health & Safety, the Sustainability Advisory Committee and benefit packages. The sessions conclude with an optional history and tour of key areas of the Burnaby campus.

Also included in these sessions is a one-hour presentation facilitated by an APSA representative. Members learn about the structure of APSA and the relationship between APSA and SFU. The AD 10 Policies that form the terms and conditions of employment for administrative and professional staff at SFU are reviewed in detail and questions and discussion are encouraged throughout. Please contact Human Resources for the next upcoming session.
